Emma Blaustein

As a high school senior passionate about biology, public health, and journalism, I’m driven by curiosity and a commitment to empowering others to use their voices for change.

My work spans the lab bench, the newsroom, and the wilderness trail: I conduct biomedical research at NYU, serve as Editor-in-Chief of my school’s independent newspaper, and train servant leaders at the National Youth Leadership Training Conference.

I do all of these things to pursue my passion of bridging science and service. I believe in using knowledge for good, whether through informing policy, mentoring peers, or enhancing public preparedness. I value the power of science and storytelling to inform and inspire.
